Gleann Einich - The Cairngorms - Scotland

The map on the right shows the route down Gleann Einich, about 9 miles from the Hotel at Coylumbridge, the starting point to the outflow of the Loch, itself over a Kilometre long, where this picture was taken. The Mountain at the head of the photo is Mullach Clach a' Bhlair 1019m, summit of the stone of the plain. Carn Ban Mor is above and to the right hand side of the Loch. nunc. Proin lacinia. Duis elit. Blisters are a perenial problem of mine. While every attempt to buy new boots must keep the manufacturer's and my local climbing store very happy, they have done nothing for the state of my feet. The red cast in the photo here is entirely due to the blood loss. I only buy red socks now, so I don't notice it. This was a particularly bad day, I'll admit. The length of the walk and it's comitting nature, 9 miles in and the only way out is to retrace the same route back, and the pace that I kept up almost non stop for 5 ~6 hours in innapropriate footware, Nordic Ski boots, is what did it.
