| The Diving Photographer |
||||
| This is a classic example of the diver-photographer,
in this case a Male of the species, photographed near Green Carr at St
Abbs. The male is more common than the female, being much more attuned
to the technical nature of the sport/artistry. However, they are raely
photographed, more usual they are behind the camera and often dive solo,
as diving partners don't appreciate the need to stay still in freezing
locations for long periods, the 'just
one more shot' syndrome, or worse still that fact that the silt kicked
up by your buddy's fins
as he races off into the distance causes backscatter
in the image and can ruin a dive completely even thought generally the
'viz' still appears to be just great up ahead! |
